Welcome!  In 2020 IHBC is excited to become Arise Community Church.  Our building is officially open and we are committed to providing a safe church environment, spiritually and physically, to gather for worship!  We also want you to know that we are concerned for your well-being and support you in deciding what’s wise for you.  The church is not a building, but the people of God, and we are happy to have you join us in worship from wherever you feel safe!

We’re approaching 2020 in dependence on God and the joy He has for us in Christ.  Though the earth may shake we will not be moved!  We hope you’ll join us in person or online!  Service is at 11 a.m. on Sundays and can be found live online here.  To have a look around, start here.  To view our library of sermons and teaching resources head here.

September 20, 2020 – Sunday Sermon

We’re a growing, multi-generational family of believers in Jesus Christ.  We’ve experienced God’s healing in Jesus and we want to share that with you!  We’re saved by faith in His gospel, united to Him by His Holy Spirit, and committed to living according to His teaching.

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE:  This Sunday, if you can’t come to us, we’ll come to you. We’re excited to bring you an interactive, full worship service, and we hope to see your comments, pictures, and smiling faces in the comments! Let’s not forsake gathering together even in atypical circumstances!  Everyone needs the opportunity to know Jesus and hear the Word of God!  And you can find us worshipping live at 11 a.m. on Sunday, right here: Online Worship

Committed to the Word

We’re a church that loves and reveres the Word of God.  We pick a passage of Scripture each Sunday morning and we work through the text to grow in our understanding of God’s revealed Word.  Our pastor, Chad Hussey, is currently preaching an exposition of the life and teaching of Jesus through the Gospel of Matthew.

All Sunday sermons can be viewed here.

The church body at ARISE is comprised of a diverse gathering of neighbors, friends, and families from all over Grant County.  If you’re looking for a place to belong, you’ll find a warm and loving community of friendly people at ARISE.

We love kids and families, and we love children’s ministry!  Our children’s ministry, which we call Kids LAB (Kids Learning About the Bible) meets for interactive Bible lessons every Sunday.  We also love Vacation Bible School!

United by Love

United in Christ, we’re committed to loving God and loving one another.  From the youngest to the oldest, we’re thankful for the abundant ways the Lord blesses us and we desire to bless others.  We live with a zeal for life and excitement for the future.  Our highest desire is to be faithful to Jesus Christ, living according to His word, by the aid of His Holy Spirit, for the glory of His name.  See our Vision and Covenant here.

If you’re looking to deepen friendships through life together with other Christians, or you desire to experience the healing of Christ through a relationship with His Church, ARISE is a great place to start making friends!  We have several groups ministries and events where you can start by dipping your toe in or jumping right in.  Either way, we’ll be excited to get to know you!
